Hopace 2.5 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure and heart failure. It is a single-ingredient angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor containing ramipril.
It is also used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in suitable high-risk people. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor. Continue it even when you feel well and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice.
Eat less salt (pickles, papad, packaged snacks), stay physically active as advised and avoid smoking, as these support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have kidney problems, dehydration, high potassium levels, or have had swelling of the face, lips or tongue with an ACE inhibitor and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy. If you are advised to switch to sacubitril/valsartan, keep a gap of 36 hours after your last dose. Seek urgent help for swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
