• Linagliptin (2.5 mg): This component belongs to the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor class. It blocks an enzyme called DPP-4, which normally breaks down incretin hormones in your body. • Metformin (1000 mg): As a biguanide, metformin works in multiple ways to lower blood glucose.
