Gabaneuron NT-100 Tablet is used to treat chronic neuropathic (nerve) pain caused by conditions like diabetes, shingles, or spinal cord injuries. It is also effective for managing fibromyalgia and may be used for certain types of persistent headaches. This medication helps in calming "misfiring" nerves, helping to reduce the burning, stabbing, or electric-shock sensations that standard painkillers cannot touch.
This medication combines Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. Gabapentin works by stabilizing the electrical activity in the brain and nerves to reduce pain signals. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, works at a low dose to increase the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that block pain perception. Together, they provide a much higher level of relief for difficult-to-treat nerve pain.
This tablet is usually taken at bedtime, as it can cause significant drowsiness and dizziness. It is important to increase the dose gradually as advised by your doctor and not to stop the medication suddenly. Consult your healthcare provider immediately if you experience sudden changes in mood or suicidal thoughts.
