CompositionFosrise 35 Tablet 4 is used to treat and prevent bone thinning (osteoporosis) in women after menopause and in men, including bone thinning caused by long-term steroid use, and to treat Paget's disease of bone. It helps strengthen the bones and reduce the risk of fractures.
It contains risedronate. It contains a bisphosphonate. It works by slowing the cells that break down bone, which helps keep the bones stronger.
Take it on an empty stomach first thing in the morning with a full glass of plain water, and stay upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes without eating, drinking or lying down, as this protects the food pipe.
Tell your doctor about any swallowing problems, kidney problems, low calcium or dental problems before use. Report difficulty or pain on swallowing, chest pain, or new thigh or jaw pain.
