Fosrise 35 Tablet 4

Fosrise 35 Tablet 4 is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis (weak, brittle bones), mainly in women after the menopause, and to lower the risk of fractures. It is also used to increase bone mass in men, to manage steroid-related bone loss, and to treat Paget's disease of bone.

Primary Uses of Fosrise 35 Tablet 4 are:

• Osteoporosis: Treats and prevents osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and increases bone mass in men.
• Steroid-induced Osteoporosis: Helps manage bone loss caused by long-term steroid treatment.
• Paget's Disease of Bone: Treats this condition, in which bone is broken down and rebuilt too quickly, leaving it enlarged, weak, and prone to pain or fracture.

Follow these instructions while taking Fosrise 35 Tablet 4:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of plain water.
• Do not crush, chew, or suck on the tablet.
• Take it on an empty stomach.
• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking other medicines.
• Remain upright (sitting or standing) for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine.
• Take this medicine exactly as your doctor has advised.

Fosrise 35 Tablet 4 is taken orally.

Fosrise 35 Tablet 4 contains risedronate (35 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Osteoclast Inhibition: Risedronate suppresses the activity of osteoclasts, cells responsible for breaking down and resorbing bone tissue, thus slowing bone loss.
• Bone Mineral Density Enhancement: By reducing bone resorption, risedronate helps increase bone mineral density, making bones stronger and less susceptible to fractures.
• Bone Metabolism Regulation: This medicine helps restore the balance between bone formation and breakdown, leading to healthier bone structure.
• Fracture Risk Reduction: Through its action on bone tissue, risedronate significantly reduces the risk of vertebral and non-vertebral fractures in patients with osteoporosis.

• Store the tablet at temperatures not exceeding 30°C.

• Protect from light and moisture exposure.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging until use.

• Store all medicines safely out of reach of children.

• Check the expiry date before use and discard properly if expired.

• Ensure adequate calcium intake through dairy products, leafy greens, and fortified foods while taking Fosrise 35 Tablet 4. Proper calcium levels are essential for bone health and osteoporosis management.

• Maintain regular weight-bearing exercise (like walking or light resistance training) to help strengthen bones and complement the bone-building effects of risedronate.
