Flucreme Nm Ointment 10gm is used to treat inflammatory skin conditions associated with susceptible fungal or bacterial infections. It is a combination medicine containing fluocinolone, miconazole and neomycin. It belongs to the classes of medications called corticosteroids, antifungals and antibiotics.
This medicine may be prescribed for conditions such as eczema or dermatitis when complicated by a susceptible fungal or bacterial infection. Fluocinolone helps reduce inflammation, redness, swelling and itching, while miconazole controls fungal growth and neomycin acts against susceptible bacteria.
Apply this medicine only to the affected skin, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes. Do not apply it over large areas, open wounds or severely damaged skin, or use it for prolonged periods unless specifically advised by your doctor, as this may increase the absorption of fluocinolone and neomycin.
Do not use this medicine for viral skin infections such as cold sores, shingles or chickenpox. Prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning, corticosteroid-related effects, sensitisation to neomycin or growth of organisms that are not susceptible to the medicine. Consult your doctor if the infection worsens, spreads or does not improve during treatment.
