It contains finasteride, a selective 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor that blocks the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the main hormone responsible for hair follicle shrinkage. Take one tablet daily with or without food as prescribed. It works gradually over several months, so continuous long-term use is necessary to see and maintain benefits. Stopping treatment usually causes hair loss to resume within 9 to 12 months.
