Feveryl Suspension 60ml

Feveryl Suspension is used for managing high body temperature and relieving mild to moderate pain in children. It effectively addresses symptoms like headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, and discomfort associated with colds or flu. This medicine works by interfering with pain signals and regulating the body’s temperature centre in the brain, thus reducing high body temperature and soothing pain sensations. Formulated as an oral suspension, Feveryl Suspension allows for flexible, weight-based dosing and is best administered using the provided measuring cup or spoon. It is especially beneficial during common illnesses and after immunisations, where high body temperature is a common symptom. Its fast-acting formula ensures timely relief with good tolerance in most children. This product should be used strictly under a doctor’s guidance, particularly in children with liver or kidney conditions. 

• Paracetamol (250 mg per 5 ml): Paracetamol is the active ingredient in this suspension. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain, which are chemical messengers responsible for pain and high body temperature. Lowering prostaglandin levels helps manage high body temperature and reduces mild to moderate pain, such as body aches, headaches, and discomfort due to colds or post-vaccination.

• Dosage is 15 mg per kg per dose.
• For children aged 1 to 2 years with an average weight of 10 to 12 kg, the dose is 6 to 8 ml.
• For ages 2 to 3 years weighing 12 to 14 kg, the dose is 8 to 9 ml.
• For ages 3 to 4 years weighing 14 to 18 kg, the dose is 9 to 11 ml.
• For ages 4 to 5 years with a weight of 18 to 20 kg, the dose is 11 to 13 ml.
• In each case, it should be given 3 to 4 times a day or as directed by the physician. The minimum dosing interval is 4 hours.
• The maximum dose is 60 mg per kg of body weight in divided doses over 24 hours.
• It should not be administered for more than 48 hours without a doctor's advice.
