Fenticonaz Cream 10gm

Fenticonaz Cream 10gm is used to:

• Treat vaginal yeast infection (vulvovaginal candidiasis)
• Relieve vaginal itching, burning, and irritation
• Reduce abnormal vaginal discharge due to fungal infection
• Help clear fungal infection when used as prescribed

Follow these instructions while using Fenticonaz Cream 10gm:

• Wash your hands before and after use.
• Use the applicator provided (if supplied) to apply the cream inside the vagina as advised by your doctor.
• Usually applied once daily, preferably at bedtime, unless your doctor advises differently.
• Complete the full course of treatment even if symptoms improve early.

Fenticonaz Cream 10gm is for vaginal (intravaginal) use only.

Fenticonaz Cream 10gm contains the following active component:

• Fenticonazole (2 %): It works by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane formation and inhibiting fungal growth, helping clear the infection.

• Store Fenticonaz Cream 10gm at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Keep the tube tightly closed.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use it after the expiry date.

• Keep the vaginal area clean and dry. Wash gently with mild, fragrance-free soap and water. Avoid harsh soaps, douches, or scented wipes that may irritate the skin or disrupt natural flora.
• Use cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothes to reduce moisture buildup, which can worsen fungal infections. Avoid tight or synthetic fabrics that trap heat and humidity.
• Sexual intercourse may increase irritation and may slow healing. Your doctor will advise when it is safe to resume sexual activity.
• This cream may weaken latex condoms and diaphragms. Avoid using such contraceptive methods during treatment and for several days after completing therapy.
• It is generally recommended to avoid starting treatment during menstruation, as menstrual flow may reduce effectiveness. Consult your doctor if your period begins during treatment.
• Consult your doctor if you experience frequent vaginal infections (e.g., more than 2 episodes in 6 months).
