Epitopil Skin 0.05/1 % Ointment 10 GM

Epitopil Skin Ointment is used for managing the following health conditions:

• Inflammatory and itchy manifestations of skin conditions that respond to corticosteroids, such as eczema

• Psoriasis, complicated by fungal or bacterial infections

• Contact dermatitis with associated fungal or bacterial infections

Here's how you should apply Epitopil Skin Ointment:

• Ensure your hands and the affected skin area are clean and dry before applying.

• Spread a thin layer of the ointment over the entire affected area.

• Gently massage until completely absorbed into the skin.

• Wash your hands after application unless they are in the treated area.

• Do not cover the treated area with bandages or dressings unless your doctor advises you to do so.

Epitopil Skin Ointment is applied topically.

Epitopil Skin Ointment contains three active ingredients:

• Clobetasol Propionate (0.05%): As a potent corticosteroid, clobetasol propionate acts by binding to the glucocorticoid receptors inside the cells. This action reduces inflammation, itching and swelling of the skin.

• Clotrimazole (1%): This antifungal agent works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This disruption prevents the growth and multiplication of fungal cells.

• Tobramycin (0.1%): An aminoglycoside antibiotic, tobramycin binds to the bacterial 30S ribosome, a protein factory inside bacterial cells. This interference with protein synthesis leads to the death of bacterial cells, thus managing bacterial infections.

• Store Epitopil Skin Ointment at room temperature.

• Keep the container tightly closed to protect it from light, air, and moisture.

• Always store this ointment out of sight and reach of children.

• Make sure you use the ointment before the expiry date printed on the package.
