Enalap 5 MG Tablet 10

Enalap 5 MG Tablet 10 is used for the management of high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. It is also used for the alleviation of heart failure symptoms and improvement of exercise tolerance. Furthermore, it is prescribed for the reduction of risk related to the development of overt heart failure in patients with asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic left ventricular dysfunction.

Enalap 5 MG Tablet 10 contains enalapril (5 mg), which acts on the body in the following ways:

• Prodrug Hydrolysis: Enalapril becomes active only after undergoing a process called hydrolysis inside the body. This process converts enalapril into its active form, enalaprilat.

• Inhibition of ACE: Enalaprilat works by blocking an enzyme called the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which helps produce a substance known as angiotensin II.

• Reduction of Angiotensin II: Angiotensin II is responsible for narrowing your blood vessels, which can increase blood pressure. By inhibiting ACE, enalapril reduces the production of angiotensin II, leading to wider blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

• Suppression of Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System: Enalapril's effect on hypertension and heart failure is primarily due to its ability to suppress the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, which plays a significant role in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.

• Store Enalap 5 MG Tablet 10 at a comfortable room temperature below 30°C.

• Since Enalap 5 MG Tablet 10 is used to manage hypertension, try to limit your salt intake. High salt intake can raise blood pressure.
