Enacare 5 MG Tablet 10 is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart-related chest pain (angina). It contains enalapril, an ACE inhibitor, that relaxes blood vessels and reduces the workload on the heart.

This medicine can also be used to manage heart failure and asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction. It reduces the strain on the heart, thereby improving overall heart health.

Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
Avoid breaking, crushing, or chewing the tablet.

Inhibition of ACE: Enalaprilat works by blocking an enzyme called the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), which helps produce a substance known as angiotensin II.
Reduction of Angiotensin II: Angiotensin II is responsible for narrowing your blood vessels, which can increase blood pressure. By inhibiting ACE, enalapril reduces the production of angiotensin II, leading to wider blood vessels and lower blood pressure.
Suppression of Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System: Enalapril's effect on hypertension and heart failure is primarily due to its ability to suppress the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, which plays a significant role in regulating blood pressure and fluid balance.
