Diprovate 0.05 % Lotion 28 ML

Diprovate Lotion is used for managing the following conditions:

• Psoriasis: It is a condition causing red and flaky patches on the skin

• Eczema: It is a skin condition causing inflammation and itchiness

• Atopic dermatitis: It is a type of inflammation of the skin

• Contact dermatitis: It is a skin rash caused by contact with certain substances

• Seborrheic dermatitis: It is a skin condition causing scaly patches and red skin

• Neurodermatitis: It is a skin condition where patches of skin become itchy and thickened

• Intertrigo: It is inflammation caused by rubbing of skin in the body folds

• Dyshidrosis: A type of eczema causing small blisters on the hands and feet

• Lichen simplex chronicus: A skin disorder causing chronic itching and scratching

• Discoid lupus erythematosus: A chronic skin condition causing sores with inflammation and scarring

• Insect bites that lead to itching or inflammation

• Skin reactions to poison ivy, oak, or sumac.

To use Diprovate Lotion effectively:

• Start by cleaning the affected area with soap and water.

• Pat it dry using a clean towel.

• Apply a few drops of lotion to the affected area.

• Gently massage until the lotion disappears into the skin.

• Discontinue when control is achieved. If no improvement is seen within 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Remember not to use this lotion on your face, groyne, or underarms unless directed by your doctor. Always ensure this medicine is for topical use only.

Diprovate Lotion is applied topically.

Diprovate Lotion contains Betamethasone (0.05 %), which acts on your body as follows:

• Inhibition of Phospholipase A2 Enzyme: Betamethasone inhibits an enzyme called phospholipase A2 in your body. This enzyme is responsible for releasing arachidonic acid from cell membrane phospholipids.

• Reduction in Inflammatory Mediators: By inhibiting phospholipase A2, betamethasone effectively reduces the release of arachidonic acid, leading to a decrease in the synthesis of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes.

• Induction of Lipocortin-1 Synthesis: Betamethasone also induces the synthesis of a protein called lipocortin-1, which further inhibits the release of inflammatory mediators.

• Store Diprovate Lotion at a controlled room temperature between 15°C to 30°C.

• Protect this lotion from freezing temperatures.

• Always keep it in a location where it's safe from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Ensure Diprovate Lotion is kept out of reach of children at all times.

• If you're managing psoriasis or eczema with Diprovate Lotion, try including omega-3 fatty acids in your diet. Foods like fish, walnuts, and flaxseeds are rich in these beneficial fats, which can help reduce inflammation and soothe skin conditions.

• Regularly moisturise your skin to prevent dryness and itching. Choose gentle, fragrance-free creams or ointments, and apply right after a bath or shower when your skin is still moist to lock in hydration.
