Dilnorm Er 25 MG Tablet 10 is used for the following:

Follow these instructions while taking Dilnorm Er 25 MG Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take the tablet at the same time each day.

• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel well.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Dilnorm Er 25 MG Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Dilnorm Er 25 MG Tablet 10 contains metoprolol (25 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Beta1-selective blocking: Metoprolol selectively blocks beta1-adrenergic receptors found primarily in the heart, leaving beta2-receptors in the lungs and blood vessels relatively unaffected at lower doses.

• Heart rate reduction: It slows down your heart rate by blocking the effect of adrenaline (a stress hormone) on your heart, reducing its workload and oxygen demand.

• Blood pressure lowering: By decreasing the force of heart contractions and reducing cardiac output, metoprolol effectively lowers blood pressure throughout your body.
