Defcicot Suspension 30ml is used mainly to treat Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in children and adults, and to manage inflammatory and autoimmune conditions including lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma and certain cancers.

Uses of Defcicot Suspension 30ml are:

• Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: Helps slow the progression of muscle weakness in DMD.
• Inflammatory Conditions: Helps manage asthma, sarcoidosis and other inflammatory disorders.
• Autoimmune Diseases: Helps manage lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and similar conditions.

Take Defcicot Suspension 30ml in the following way or as your doctor prescribes:

• Shake the bottle well before each dose
• Use a measuring cup to take it by mouth.
• This suspension can be taken with or without food, though it’s best to take it at the same time each day.

Defcicot Suspension 30ml should be taken orally.

Defcicot Suspension 30ml contains the following component:

• Deflazacort (6 mg): This corticosteroid is converted in the body to its active form, where it binds to receptors to provide anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effects. Its anti-inflammatory action works by blocking specific chemicals that trigger inflammation, while the immunosuppressive effect lowers the immune system’s sensitivity.

• Store this medicine at room temperature (25ºC).

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.
