Clopizen 75 Tablet is used to help prevent harmful blood clots in people at risk of heart attack or stroke. It is used in conditions linked with narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis) and after certain heart procedures, to keep the blood flowing more freely.
It contains clopidogrel and belongs to a group of medicines called antiplatelets, which make the blood less likely to form clots. Take it as prescribed. Do not stop this medicine without speaking to your doctor, as stopping suddenly can increase the risk of a clot. Tell any doctor or dentist that you take it before any procedure.
Alongside this medicine, reducing salt and saturated fat in your diet, staying physically active, maintaining a healthy weight, and quitting smoking all help protect the heart and blood vessels.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any bleeding problems, a stomach ulcer, recent surgery, or liver problems, or are taking other medicines, including painkillers. Report any unusual bruising or bleeding, black stools, or blood in the urine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use.
