Clobet-GM RC Cream is a combination topical medicine used to treat inflamed skin conditions that are complicated by mixed bacterial and fungal skin infections, such as infected eczema, ringworm, and severe skin fold rashes. It acts quickly to reduce redness, swelling, intense itching, and clear the infection.
It contains clobetasol, a potent corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, neomycin, an antibiotic that fights bacterial infection, and clotrimazole, an antifungal agent. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area as directed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly after application. Limit treatment duration as directed, usually not exceeding 1 to 2 weeks.
To aid skin recovery, keep the affected area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing to prevent friction, avoid sharing personal items like towels, and refrain from scratching the skin.
Do not apply this cream to the face, groin, or underarms unless explicitly advised by your doctor. Do not cover the treated skin with airtight bandages or dressings. Inform your doctor if symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment, or if skin irritation worsens. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use a steroid-containing combination for uncomplicated ringworm or another fungal infection unless specifically directed, because the steroid can mask or worsen infection.
