Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1

Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1 may interact with the following medicines:

• Anticoagulant medicines (Warfarin, Acenocoumarol): Cefpodoxime may increase the effect of anticoagulant medicines and raise the risk of bleeding in some patients. Monitoring may be required during combined use.
• Antacid medicines (Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide): These medicines may reduce the absorption and effectiveness of cefpodoxime if taken together. Your doctor may advise maintaining a gap between doses.
• Probenecid: Combined use may reduce renal excretion of cefpodoxime and increase its levels in the blood. Monitoring may be required.
• History of severe penicillin allergy: Use cautiously in children with a history of severe allergic reactions to penicillin or other beta-lactam antibiotics, as cross-reactivity may occur.

Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1 should be used with caution if your child has:

• Gastrointestinal disorders: Antibiotic medicines may worsen certain bowel-related conditions, such as colitis, in some patients.

The daily dose of Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1 should be given as prescribed by your doctor. The dosage may vary depending on the child’s age, body weight, severity of infection, and response to treatment. Do not change the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.

Overdose of Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1 may increase the risk of side effects such as vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, or restlessness. Consult your doctor if your child accidentally takes more than the prescribed dose.

If a dose of Ceftron 50 MG Tablet 1 is missed, administer it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule.
