CB Max Injection is a vitamin injection used to manage vitamin deficiencies, support red blood cell production and help nerve function. It is a combination medicine containing methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), folic acid, niacinamide (vitamin B3) and pyridoxine (vitamin B6), and belongs to a class of medicines called B-complex vitamins.
This medicine works by replacing vitamins the body needs to make healthy red blood cells and keep nerves working normally. It is used to counteract vitamin B12 deficiency, which can cause anaemia and nerve damage, and to manage conditions caused by low folic acid levels. It is given by a doctor or healthcare professional, who decides the dose and how often it is needed.
A balanced diet with foods rich in B vitamins, such as eggs, dairy, pulses, green leafy vegetables and fortified cereals, may help support the treatment, unless your doctor advises otherwise.
Before receiving this medicine, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any vitamin or any ingredient of the injection, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you take other medicines or supplements. Tell your doctor if you develop a rash, itching or swelling after the injection.
