Candesar 8 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing high blood pressure
• Managing heart failure
• Reducing the risk of cardiovascular death
• Preventing hospitalisation in heart failure patients
• Protecting kidney function
• Supporting diabetic patients with kidney problems
• Lowering blood vessel resistance
• Improving blood flow
• Reducing strain on the heart
• Enhancing heart-pumping efficiency

Follow these instructions whilst taking Candesar 8 Tablet:

• Take this tablet orally with or without food.
• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the tablet.
• Take this medicine at the same time each day.
• Continue taking this medicine even if you feel better.
• Consult your doctor if you have any questions about using this medicine.

Candesar 8 Tablet is taken orally.

Candesar 8 Tablet contains candesartan (8 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Angiotensin II Receptor Blockade: Candesartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a chemical that causes blood vessels to narrow, by preventing it from attaching to its receptors.
• Blood Vessel Relaxation: By blocking angiotensin II receptors, this medicine allows your blood vessels to relax and widen, which enhances blood flow throughout your body.
• Blood Pressure Reduction: The widening of blood vessels reduces vascular resistance (the force opposing blood flow), which directly lowers your blood pressure.
• Heart Workload Decrease: With reduced resistance in your blood vessels, your heart doesn't need to work as hard to pump blood, which improves its pumping efficiency.
• Kidney Protection: Candesartan helps maintain kidney function by reducing pressure in the tiny blood vessels of your kidneys, which is particularly beneficial if you have diabetes.

• Store Candesar 8 Tablet at room temperature.
• Keep the medicine in a dry place, protected from light and moisture.
• Store in the original packaging to protect from environmental exposure.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Check the expiry date before use and do not use after this date.

• Reduce your salt intake by avoiding processed foods and not adding extra salt to meals, as high sodium levels can worsen high blood pressure (hypertension).
• Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes most days of the week—activities like brisk walking, swimming, or cycling help lower blood pressure and improve heart function.
