CompositionC-Phenicol Capsule is used to treat bacterial eye infections such as acute bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and other surface infections of the eye, easing redness, irritation, watering and discharge.
It contains chloramphenicol, an antibiotic. It works by stopping a wide range of bacteria making the proteins they need to grow.
Use it for the affected eye exactly as directed, and complete the full course to clear the infection and reduce the chance of it returning.
Tell your doctor about any blood disorders before use. Although very rare with eye use, chloramphenicol can affect the bone marrow; report unusual tiredness, easy bruising, a sore throat or fever.
