Betamil GM Cream is used in adults to treat inflammatory skin conditions with an associated bacterial or fungal infection.

Uses of Betamil GM Cream are:

• Eczema and Dermatitis with Infection: Reduces redness, itching and swelling while controlling bacterial or fungal infection.
• Psoriasis with Infection: Reduces inflammation and controls associated bacterial or fungal infection.
• Fungal Skin Infections with Inflammation: Treats fungal skin infections with associated inflammation when prescribed by a doctor.

To use Betamil GM Cream correctly, follow these steps:

• Make sure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.
• Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected areas twice daily, in the morning and evening.
• Gently massage the cream into your skin until it's fully absorbed.
• Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after using the cream, unless you're treating your hands.
• Avoid contact with your eyes, mouth, and other mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

Betamil GM Cream is applied topically.

Betamil GM Cream consists of three active ingredients:

• Betamethasone (0.05%): This is a potent topical corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. It works by binding to specific receptors in your body's cells and adjusting the production of certain proteins, which reduces inflammation in your skin.
• Gentamicin (0.1%): As a broad-spectrum antibiotic, gentamicin targets many types of bacteria. It works by attaching itself to specific parts of bacterial cells and interfering with their ability to produce proteins, leading to their death.
• Miconazole (2%): This is an antifungal agent that disrupts the production of a key component in fungal cell membranes. This alters the permeability of the cell membrane leading to the death of fungal cells. Miconazole also has some antibacterial properties against certain types of bacteria.

• Store Betamil GM Cream at or below 25°C temperature.
• Keep the tube tightly closed to prevent air exposure.
• Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or moist areas.

• If you're managing skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis with Betamil GM Cream, try to avoid potential triggers in your diet such as dairy or gluten products, as these can sometimes worsen inflammation.
• Regularly change and wash your clothes and bed linen to reduce bacterial and fungal exposure that could infect sensitive skin areas.
