Benoquin Cream 30Gm

Benoquin Cream 30gm is used for:

• Permanent depigmentation in patients with extensive vitiligo
• Lightening of normally pigmented skin surrounding vitiligo patches
• Depigmentation therapy in extensive vitiligo when repigmentation treatments are ineffective or unsuitable 

Follow these instructions while using Benoquin Cream 30gm:

• Wash and gently dry the affected area before application.
• Apply a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily, or as prescribed.
• Avoid contact with eyes, lips, mucous membranes, and broken skin.
• Avoid applying to unaffected areas unless instructed.
• Do not use more frequently or for longer than prescribed.

Benoquin Cream 30gm is for topical use only.

Benoquin Cream 30gm contains the following active component:

• Monobenzone (20%): It works by affecting melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing melanin in the skin. It leads to loss of melanin by causing destruction of these pigment-producing cells, resulting in permanent depigmentation. The effect develops gradually over several weeks to months, with a gradual loss of melanin following the destruction of melanocytes. The depigmented skin shows changes similar to those seen in vitiligo, with the absence of functioning melanocytes.

• Store Benoquin Cream 30gm at a temperature below 25°C.
• Keep the tube tightly closed.
• Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.

• Avoid direct sun exposure on depigmented skin, as depigmented areas are more susceptible to sunburn and UV damage. 
• Use sun-protective measures such as sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors.
• Avoid cosmetic products, perfumes, or skin treatments that may irritate the treated areas.
• Maintain gentle skin-care practices to reduce dryness or irritation.
