Benitor T 4/40 Mg Tablet 10 is used to manage high blood pressure in adults. It is a combination medicine containing benidipine and telmisartan, and belongs to the class of antihypertensive medicines.
This medicine combines benidipine, a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, with telmisartan, an angiotensin receptor blocker that also relaxes and widens blood vessels by blocking a hormone called angiotensin II, together lowering blood pressure more effectively. Take this tablet as prescribed by your doctor, with or without food.
Regular blood pressure checks along with a kidney function test may be advised by your doctor to monitor your response to this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any diabetes, severe liver problems such as cholestasis, or impaired kidney function, and about any other medicines you are taking, before starting this medicine. This medicine is not recommended during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Report any dehydration, high potassium symptoms or unusual dizziness to your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
