Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of high blood pressure

• Prevention of heart attacks

• Prevention of strokes

• Management of cardiovascular disease

• Improving blood flow throughout the body

• Normalising elevated blood pressure levels

• Reducing resistance in blood vessels

• Widening of constricted blood vessels

• Protection of vital organs from hypertension damage

Follow these instructions while taking Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew or break the tablet.

• Take this medicine at the same time each day.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor.

Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Azelnidipine (16 mg): This component is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels. It reduces calcium influx into the smooth muscle cells of your blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow through them.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It blocks the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that causes your blood vessels to narrow. By preventing this narrowing effect, telmisartan helps reduce resistance in your blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Follow these instructions while storing Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10:

• Store Azovas T 16/40 Tablet 10 at room temperature in a cool, dry place below 25°C.

• Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store safely out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Discard any unused or expired tablets properly.

• Do not store in bathroom cabinets where moisture levels are high.

• Reduce salt intake: Limit the amount of salt in your diet as high sodium consumption can raise your blood pressure. Try using herbs and spices instead of salt to flavour your food.

• Regular physical activity: Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise most days of the week. Activities like brisk walking, swimming or cycling can help manage your blood pressure alongside your medicine.

• Limit high in potassium foods: Fruits like bananas and oranges should be limited if your doctor has advised potassium restriction while taking this medicine.
