Aux Tol 600 Mg Tablet 10 is an anti-seizure medicine used to manage partial (focal) seizures in adults and children. It is a single-ingredient medicine containing oxcarbazepine, and belongs to a class of medicines called anticonvulsants.
This medicine works by reducing abnormal electrical activity in the brain, which helps prevent seizures. It can be used on its own or together with other anti-seizure medicines, as decided by your doctor. Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, at the same times each day.
Taking it at regular times each day, getting enough sleep and avoiding alcohol can help keep seizures under control. Take care when driving or using machinery until you know how it affects you.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have kidney, liver or heart problems, a history of low sodium levels, or have had a skin reaction to a similar medicine such as carbamazepine. Hormonal contraceptives may be less effective, so ask your doctor about other options, and get urgent help for a rash, mouth sores, confusion or worsening seizures.
