Ampilox Ds 500/500 Mg Injection 1 is used to treat respiratory and urinary infections.

Uses of Ampilox Ds 500/500 Mg Injection 1 are:

• Respiratory and Urinary Infections: Treats infections such as pneumonia and urinary tract infections.
• Skin and Abdominal Infections: Treats skin and soft tissue infections, and intra-abdominal infections.
• Bloodstream, Bone, and Joint Infections: Treats septicaemia and bone or joint infections.

Administer Ampilox Ds 500/500 Mg Injection 1 as follows:

• The injection should be administered by a healthcare professional, either into a vein or muscle.
• The injection vials need to be diluted with an appropriate diluent before administration.
• For intravenous use, the diluted solution should be administered slowly over 10–15
• minutes.
• For intramuscular use, the reconstituted solution will be injected deep into a large muscle mass.

Ampilox Ds 500/500 Mg Injection 1 is administered either intravenously or via an intramuscular route.

Ampilox Ds 500/500 Mg Injection 1 includes two active ingredients:

• Ampicillin (500 mg): This ingredient operates by interfering with the final stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. It deactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), disrupting the cross-linking of peptidoglycan, a key structural component of the bacterial cell wall. The result is that without a properly formed cell wall, the bacterial cell can't maintain its shape and internal pressure, leading to cell lysis (the breaking down of the cell) and death.
• Dicloxacillin (500 mg): This component works similarly to ampicillin but has greater resistance to beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain bacteria. These enzymes can break down and deactivate some penicillins, resulting in antibiotic resistance.
