Alciflox D Eye/Ear Drops is used to manage bacterial infections of the eyes and ears. It combines an antibiotic with a corticosteroid.
The antibiotic component clears the bacterial infection, while the corticosteroid reduces inflammation, redness and swelling, together relieving both the infection and its associated discomfort in the eye or ear.
Instil the prescribed number of drops into the affected eye or ear, as your doctor advises, usually several times daily, and continue for the full course even as symptoms improve.
Avoid using for longer than your doctor recommends, since prolonged use of a steroid-containing preparation can mask a worsening infection or raise eye pressure. Remove contact lenses before use, and tell your doctor if symptoms do not improve within the expected time.
