Vincreta 1 MG Injection 1 is used for the following:

• Treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia

• Management of Hodgkin's lymphoma

• Management of non-Hodgkin lymphomas

• Treatment of neuroblastoma

• Management of Wilms tumour in children

• Treatment of rhabdomyosarcoma

• Management of multiple myeloma

• Treatment of certain breast cancer cases

• Management of non-small cell lung cancer

• Treatment of pancreatic cancer

• Management of bone malignancies

Follow these instructions while administering Vincreta 1 MG Injection 1:

• This medicine must be administered only by a healthcare professional.

• It should only be administered through the vein (intravenous route) over 1 to 2 minutes.

• It must be administered through a freely flowing intravenous line.

• The needle placement should be verified before and during administration.

• The injection site should be monitored during administration.

Vincreta 1 MG Injection 1 is administered intravenously.

Vincreta 1 MG Injection 1 contains vincristine (1 mg), which works in the following ways:

• Microtubule disruption: Vincristine binds to tubulin proteins in cancer cells, preventing the formation of microtubules, which are essential structures needed for cell division.

• Cell division arrest: By interfering with microtubule formation, vincristine stops cancer cells from dividing properly, causing them to become stuck in a phase of cell division called metaphase.

• Selective action: This medicine primarily affects rapidly dividing cells, which is why cancer cells are particularly vulnerable to its effects compared to most normal cells in your body.

• Cell death induction: When cancer cells are unable to complete the division process due to vincristine's effects, they eventually undergo cell death, a process known as apoptosis, which is the body's natural way of eliminating damaged cells.

• Keep Vincreta 1 MG Injection 1 refrigerated at 2-8°C.

• Protect the vials from light exposure.

• Do not freeze the injection.

• Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Check the expiry date, and do not use it after this date.

• Use promptly once removed from refrigeration.

• Stay well-hydrated by drinking 8-10 glasses of water daily to support your body during cancer treatment and help manage side effects like constipation.

• Avoid or limit very spicy, oily, or deep-fried foods, as they can worsen nausea and constipation.
