Viltab D 5/100 Tablet 10 incorporates two active ingredients:

• Dapagliflozin (5 mg): This ingredient is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor. By selectively inhibiting SGLT2, which is responsible for the reabsorption of glucose back into your blood from the kidneys, dapagliflozin reduces renal glucose reabsorption. This action leads to urinary glucose excretion and a consequent lowering of blood glucose levels.

• Vildagliptin (100 mg): This component is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor. It slows down the inactivation of incretin hormones GLP-1 and GIP that are released in response to a meal.
