Trombopag 50 Tablet is used to manage low blood platelet counts and reduce bleeding risks across several blood and liver conditions.

Uses of Trombopag 50 Tablet are:

• Chronic ITP Management: Helps boost platelet counts in chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura unresponsive to corticosteroids or immunoglobulins.
• Hepatitis C-Related Thrombocytopenia: Increases platelet levels in patients with chronic hepatitis C to allow safe administration of antiviral therapy.
• Severe Aplastic Anaemia: Helps raise blood cell counts in severe aplastic anaemia that has not responded adequately to immunosuppressive treatment.

Follow these instructions while taking Trombopag 50 Tablet 7:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• Take it at the same time each day for best results.

Trombopag 50 Tablet 7 is taken orally.

Trombopag 50 Tablet 7 contains eltrombopag (50 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Thrombopoietin receptor activation: Eltrombopag acts as a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, stimulating platelet production by activating receptors on megakaryocyte precursors.

• Megakaryocyte stimulation: By activating these receptors, eltrombopag triggers a series of cellular signals that promote the growth and development of megakaryocytes, which are the cells responsible for producing platelets.

• Platelet production enhancement: This stimulation increases the production and maturation of platelets, helping to restore platelet counts to safer levels in your bloodstream.

• Bleeding risk reduction: By increasing the number of platelets in circulation, the medicine helps reduce the risk of spontaneous bleeding or haemorrhage that can occur when platelet counts are dangerously low.

• Store Trombopag 50 Tablet 7 below 30°C in a cool, dry place.

• Keep in the original packaging until use.

• Protect from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Store out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• If you have ITP (a condition where your immune system destroys platelets), include plenty of iron-rich foods in your diet, like leafy greens, beans, and lean meats, to support healthy blood cell production.

• Avoid foods containing calcium, iron, magnesium or zinc within 2 hours before and 4 hours after taking Trombopag 50 Tablet 7, as these minerals can significantly reduce the medicine's absorption.
