CompositionTolra ER 2 Capsule is used to relieve symptoms of an overactive bladder in adults, such as a sudden urgent need to urinate, frequent urination, and involuntary urine leakage. It helps relax the bladder muscle to improve bladder storage.
It contains tolterodine, an antimuscarinic medicine. Swallow the extended-release capsule whole with water as prescribed, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the capsule, as this affects the slow release of the medicine. Continue taking it regularly for the full duration prescribed.
Lifestyle adjustments such as limiting caffeine and alcohol, managing evening fluid intake, and practicing pelvic floor exercises can help support bladder control alongside this treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have urinary retention, stomach obstruction, narrow-angle glaucoma, or kidney or liver disease. Use caution when driving, as it may cause blurred vision or drowsiness. Stay well hydrated and take precautions in hot weather due to reduced sweating.
