Suprafer Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Managing iron deficiency anaemia due to inadequate dietary intake.
• Preventing anaemia during periods of increased physiological demands, such as pregnancy.
• Correcting anaemia caused by certain medical conditions that impair iron absorption.
• Treating the folic acid deficiency, which can contribute to anaemia.

Suprafer Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients:

• Ferrous Ascorbate (100 mg): This is a form of iron that is readily absorbed in the gut. It releases iron ions and ascorbic acid upon ingestion. The iron ions are absorbed into the bloodstream and are used in the production of haemoglobin, a protein found in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body.
• Folic Acid (1.5 mg): This vitamin is converted into an active form in the body. It is essential for the maturation of red blood cells and DNA synthesis. A lack of folic acid can lead to a type of anaemia, where the body has fewer, larger red blood cells.
