It works by strongly reducing inflammation and calming an overactive immune system.
It contains dexamethasone, a corticosteroid. The dose depends on the condition being treated, so take it exactly as prescribed, usually with food. Do not stop it suddenly, as the dose usually needs to be reduced gradually under your doctor's guidance.

Tell your doctor about any infections, diabetes, high blood pressure or stomach ulcers before starting, and about other medicines you take. Report signs of infection, mood changes, severe stomach pain, vision changes or unusual swelling.
