Soval Dvx 1000 Tablet 6 is used to manage epilepsy, a neurological condition characterised by recurrent seizures. It contains sodium valproate, an anticonvulsant and mood-stabilising medicine that alters electrical activity in the brain.
This medicine also helps manage bipolar disorder, a psychiatric condition marked by extreme mood swings, and is used to help prevent migraine headaches, which are severe, recurring headaches that can cause debilitating pain.
Take this once-daily tablet at the same time each day, swallowed whole with water, and do not crush or chew it, since it is a controlled-release formulation. Take it exactly as your doctor prescribes.
This medicine must not be used in pregnancy, as it carries a high risk of birth defects and developmental problems in an unborn baby; women of childbearing potential need specific counselling and contraception advice before starting treatment. Do not stop this medicine suddenly, as this can trigger seizures; report unusual bruising, bleeding, persistent vomiting or yellowing of the skin or eyes, which need urgent medical review.
