Rockbon Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of osteoporosis: This condition leads to weak and brittle bones.

• Improvement of bone mineral density: This helps to strengthen your bones.

• Reducing the risk of osteoporotic fractures: These fractures occur due to weakened bones.

• Beneficial for postmenopausal women: Hormonal changes during menopause increase the risk of developing osteoporosis.

Administer Rockbon Tablet as follows:

• Take this medicine on an empty stomach, preferably 30 minutes before any meal or drink.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.

• Stay upright, either sitting or standing, for at least 30 minutes after taking this medicine.

• Always consult your doctor for personalised advice on how to take this medicine.

Rockbon Tablet is taken orally.

Rockbon Tablet is formulated with three active components:

• Ibandronate (150 mg): This component belongs to a class of medicines called bisphosphonates. It inhibits the activity of osteoclasts, the cells responsible for breaking down bone tissue. By slowing down bone resorption, ibandronate helps maintain bone mass and reduces the risk of fractures.

• Elemental Calcium (250 mg): Calcium is the main mineral found in bone tissue. Sufficient calcium intake is necessary to maintain bone strength and density. Supplementary calcium helps compensate for dietary deficiencies and supports bone health.

• Calcitriol/Cholecalciferol (0.25 mcg): This is a form of vitamin D, crucial for the absorption of calcium in the gut. It helps maintain adequate levels of calcium and phosphate in the blood, necessary for proper bone mineralisation. It also regulates the activity of bone cells, known as osteoblasts and osteoclasts, involved in bone remodelling.

• Store Rockbon Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• Don't forget to keep it out of the reach of children.

• Please ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Include calcium-rich foods, like dairy products, green leafy vegetables, and nuts. This will support the effectiveness of Rockbon Tablet in managing osteoporosis.

• Regular weight-bearing exercises, such as walking, dancing, or lifting weights, can help strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures.
