Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet is used in adults to prevent angina pectoris and to reduce the frequency and severity of chest pain attacks in people who do not respond well to, or cannot tolerate, other anti-anginal medicines.

Uses of Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet are:

• Angina Prevention: Helps prevent chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart.
• Chronic Stable Angina: Helps reduce the frequency and severity of chest pain attacks.
• Alternative Therapy: Used when other anti-anginal medicines are not effective or suitable.

Here are some guidelines for taking Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

• Do not take more than your doctor has advised.

• Never stop using this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet is taken orally.

Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet contains Nicorandil (10 mg), which functions in the body in the following way:

• Opens ATP-sensitive Potassium Channels: Nicorandil opens the ATP-sensitive potassium channels in the smooth muscle cells of your blood vessels. This is like opening tiny doors on the walls of your blood vessels, allowing potassium ions to flow through.

• Dilates Blood Vessels: Nicorandil causes the muscle cells in your blood vessel walls to relax. This relaxation leads to the widening, or dilation, of your blood vessels, allowing more blood to flow through them.

• Improves Blood Flow to the Heart: With wider blood vessels, more blood can reach your heart. This reduces the workload on your heart, helping to prevent or lessen the frequency and severity of angina attacks.

• Store your Nicoduce OD 10 Tablet at a moderate room temperature, ideally between 15 to 30°C.

• Choose a dry place that's shielded from direct light and moisture.

• Keep the medication out of the reach of children.

• Always check the expiry date before use and never take expired medicine.

• To help manage angina, opt for a heart-healthy diet. Include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins while limiting saturated fats and salt.
