Jeev 3mcg Vaccine 0.5ml

Jeev Injection is used to protects children from 2 months onward and travelers visiting endemic areas, preventing severe mosquito-borne infections and reducing the risk of neurological complications caused by the virus.

• The injection should be given intramuscularly, preferably in the upper arm or thigh.

• Ensure it's not injected into veins, under the skin, or into the skin itself.

• It should ideally be administered at least a week prior to potential exposure to the virus.

Jeev Injection is administered via an intramuscular route.

Jeev Injection contains Inactivated Japanese Encephalitis Virus Proteins (3 mcg), which work on your child's body as follows:

• Elicits Neutralising Antibodies: The vaccine generates neutralising antibodies against the virus in your child's body.

• Binds to Live JEV: Upon exposure, these vaccine-induced antibodies bind to live JEV and prevent it from entering and replicating in human cells. This protects against infection.

• Boosts Antibody Production: The presence of aluminium hydroxide adjuvant in the vaccine enhances antibody production for an optimal immune response. This ensures long-term protection against Japanese encephalitis.

• Store Jeev Injection in a refrigerator, keeping it between 2°C and 8°C.

• Shield the vaccine from light and avoid freezing.

• Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

• As Japanese Encephalitis is a mosquito-borne disease, ensure that your child avoids mosquito-infested areas, particularly during dusk and dawn when mosquito activity is high.

• Dress your child in long-sleeved shirts and long trousers to minimise skin exposure to mosquitoes. For added protection, use mosquito nets and insect repellents.
