Insuman Comb 25 100 IU/mL Cartridge is primarily used to manage diabetes mellitus in patients who need insulin for glycaemic control. This medicine is a combination of two different types of insulin, part of the antidiabetic medicine class.
This medicine provides both basal insulin, covering the body's baseline needs for roughly half a day, and additional insulin to control the rise in blood sugar after meals, making it a crucial component in the long-term management of diabetes and helping maintain normal glucose balance.
Administer this insulin by injection under the skin, usually before a meal, exactly as your doctor or diabetes nurse has shown you, with the dose individualised and adjusted based on your metabolic needs.
Never stop or skip insulin doses on your own, even if you feel unwell, as this can lead to dangerously high blood sugar; contact your doctor instead if you are struggling with your dose. Learn to recognise the signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), such as sweating, shakiness, confusion or hunger, and always carry a fast-acting sugar source.
