Indactiv G Capsule 30

Indactiv G Capsule 30 is used to:

• Control persistent asthma symptoms in adults
• Improve lung function and airflow
• Reduce airway inflammation
• Reduce the frequency and severity of asthma exacerbations

Follow these instructions while taking Indactiv G Capsule 30:

• Use the capsules only with the inhaler provided; do not swallow the capsule.
• Administer the medicine at the same time each day.
• Remove the capsule from the blister immediately before use.
• Rinse your mouth after each inhalation to reduce the risk of oral fungal infection.
• Do not change the dose or stop treatment without consulting your doctor.

Indactiv G Capsule 30 is taken by inhalation using an inhaler device.

Indactiv G Capsule 30 contains the following components:

• Glycopyrrolate (50 mcg): This is a long-acting muscarinic antagonist (LAMA). It works by blocking muscarinic receptors in the airways, which prevents cholinergic-mediated constriction (bronchospasm). This helps relax and widen the airways, improving airflow and reducing breathlessness.
• Indacaterol (150 mcg): A long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA), indacaterol binds to beta2 receptors in the airway muscles. This relaxes the smooth muscles of the bronchi, resulting in sustained bronchodilation. It complements glycopyrrolate’s action, improving airflow over a prolonged period.
• Mometasone (160 mcg): An inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), mometasone reduces airway inflammation, swelling, and mucus production. By controlling inflammation, it helps prevent exacerbations, decreases symptoms such as wheezing and breathlessness, and supports long-term asthma management.

• Store at room temperature, away from heat and moisture.
• Keep capsules in their original packaging.
• Keep out of reach of children.

• Maintain a healthy, balanced diet: Eating a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins helps support lung function and overall immunity. Adequate nutrition can also improve your body’s response to long-term asthma therapy.
• Stay hydrated: Drink enough water daily to keep mucus thin and support easier breathing. Hydration also helps reduce dry mouth, which may occur with glycopyrrolate.
• Regular physical activity: Gentle to moderate exercises, such as walking or breathing exercises, can strengthen lung capacity and improve quality of life. Always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
• Avoid smoking and secondhand smoke: Tobacco smoke can worsen asthma symptoms, reduce the effectiveness of inhaled medicines, and increase the risk of exacerbations.
• Avoid respiratory irritants: Minimise exposure to dust, pollution, strong fragrances, and chemical fumes, as these can trigger asthma symptoms
• Monitor and manage triggers: Keep track of environmental or seasonal triggers that worsen your asthma, such as pollen, cold air, or allergens. Discuss preventive strategies with your doctor.
