Gravidol Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure, including raised blood pressure during pregnancy or anaesthesia. It is a single-ingredient alpha and beta blocker containing labetalol.
Keeping blood pressure under control lowers the risk of serious problems such as heart attack and stroke. Take it at a fixed time in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor, and never stop it abruptly, as this can cause a sudden rise in blood pressure.
Eat less salt (pickles, papad, packaged snacks), stay physically active as advised, maintain a healthy weight and limit alcohol.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have asthma or breathing problems, a slow heart rate, heart rhythm problems or diabetes and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Rise slowly to reduce dizziness, especially when you first start treatment, and tell your doctor about a very slow heartbeat or fainting. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
