Glenvas 10 Capsule 10 is used for the following:

• Treatment of specific types of thyroid cancer

• Management of advanced thyroid malignancies

• Therapy for thyroid cancer unresponsive to standard treatments

• Targeted treatment for progressive thyroid cancer

• Slowing growth and spread of thyroid tumours

• Reducing thyroid tumour size

• Part of a comprehensive cancer management strategy

• Second-line therapy when other treatments prove insufficient

Follow these instructions while taking Glenvas 10 Capsule 10:

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or open the capsule.

• You can take this medicine with or without food, but be consistent.

• Handle capsules with dry hands only.

• Take your medicine at the same time each day to maintain effectiveness.

• If you have difficulty swallowing medicines, consult your doctor.

Glenvas 10 Capsule 10 is taken orally.

Glenvas 10 Capsule 10 contains lenvatinib (10 mg), which works on the body as follows:

• Tyrosine kinase inhibition: Lenvatinib blocks specific enzymes called tyrosine kinases, which are proteins that help control cell growth and division, preventing cancer cells from multiplying.

• Anti-angiogenic effect: It inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs), which are proteins that stimulate the formation of new blood vessels that feed tumours, effectively cutting off the blood supply that cancer cells need to grow.

• Multiple receptor targeting: Lenvatinib works by targeting multiple receptor tyrosine kinases simultaneously, attacking cancer growth through different pathways to help slow disease progression.

• Signal pathway disruption: The medicine interrupts the communication networks within cancer cells, preventing the signals that stimulate cancer cells to grow and divide, helping to control tumour growth.

• Store Glenvas 10 Capsule 10 at room temperature (below 30°C) in its original packaging.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed to protect it from moisture.

• Store away from direct sunlight and heat.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Since thyroid cancer treatment with lenvatinib often causes high blood pressure (hypertension), follow a low-sodium diet by limiting processed foods, canned soups, and salty snacks.

• Maintain good nutrition. Try eating smaller, more frequent meals throughout the day to combat weight loss that may occur during treatment.
