Gabatal Capsule 10 interacts with the following medicines:

• Antacids: Medicines containing magnesium or aluminium, for example, aluminium hydroxied or magnesium carbonate, can interfere with the absorption of gabapentin. It's advisable to take these antacids and gabapentin at least 2 hours apart.

• Painkillers: Morphine may increase the concentration of gabapentin in your body. When taken together, you might need a lower dose of gabapentin to avoid side effects.

• Sedatives: Gabapentin may enhance the effects of medicines like opioids, tranquillizers, and alcohol, resulting in increased drowsiness and potentially dangerous breathing problems.

Food consumption has little effect on the absorption of gabapentin. Nonetheless, it is usually advised to stick to a regular diet when taking medication.

• Kidney Diseases: If you have kidney diseases, your body might not effectively eliminate gabapentin, leading to its accumulation and potential toxicity. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose accordingly.
