Eltrog 50 Tablet 7 is used to increase platelet counts in people with low platelet levels due to chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP). It belongs to a class of medicines known as thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RAs).
This medicine is also used to manage low platelet counts in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus infection who experience thrombocytopenia. Additionally, it can be prescribed for patients with severe aplastic anaemia who have had an insufficient response to immunosuppressive therapy. By increasing platelet production, it helps prevent bleeding complications in these conditions.
You should take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor, who will determine the appropriate dosage based on your condition and platelet count response. Before starting this medicine, inform your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, especially liver problems and blood clotting disorders, or other medications you are currently taking. If you notice any unusual side effects while taking this medicine, contact your doctor immediately. Continue the treatment for the full duration prescribed for optimal results.
