Composition

Glimepiride (3 Mg) + Metformin (1000 Mg)

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 is used to manage type 2 diabetes when diet and exercise alone aren’t sufficient. It combines different antidiabetic medications to help control blood sugar levels more effectively. This tablet works to improve glycemic control, especially for patients who need additional support beyond lifestyle changes.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 is used for managing Type 2 Diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar when diet and exercise alone are insufficient, improves glycaemic control, and supports insulin sensitivity. It is also used as initial therapy for newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes or as an adjunct to diet and exercise when other medications are ineffective.

Follow these instructions while taking Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10:

Take the tablet once daily with breakfast or your first main meal.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.
Continue taking this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.
Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, even if you feel better.
If you have difficulty swallowing the tablet, consult your doctor.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, and weight gain.

Management Of Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing the use of Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Nausea: This tablet with breakfast or your first main meal of the day can help reduce this side effect.
Hypoglycaemia: Carrying a source of quick sugar, such as glucose tablets, can help manage low blood sugar episodes if they occur.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

Glimepiride (3 mg): This component stimulates the pancreas to secrete more insulin. It binds to specific receptors on beta cells in the pancreas, causing them to release insulin, which helps lower blood glucose by enabling cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream.
Metformin (1000 mg): This ingredient decreases the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It also increases insulin sensitivity, which means your body can use insulin more effectively to process glucose. Additionally, it slows the absorption of glucose from your intestines after meals.
