Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 is used for the following:

• Management of Type 2 Diabetes mellitus in adults

• Control of blood sugar when diet and exercise fail

• Improvement of glycaemic control in diabetic patients

• Initial therapy for newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes

• Adjunct to diet and exercise for diabetes management

• Treatment when single diabetes medicines are ineffective

• Lowering of blood glucose in adult diabetic patients

• Supporting insulin sensitivity in type 2 diabetes

Follow these instructions while taking Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10:

• Take the tablet once daily with breakfast or your first main meal.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, break or chew the tablet.

• Continue taking this medicine regularly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly, even if you feel better.

• If you have difficulty swallowing the tablet, consult your doctor.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 is taken orally.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 contains two active ingredients that work together to control blood sugar levels:

• Glimepiride (3 mg): This component stimulates the pancreas to secrete more insulin. It binds to specific receptors on beta cells in the pancreas, causing them to release insulin, which helps lower blood glucose by enabling cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream.

• Metformin (1000 mg): This ingredient decreases the amount of glucose produced by the liver. It also increases insulin sensitivity, which means your body can use insulin more effectively to process glucose. Additionally, it slows the absorption of glucose from your intestines after meals.

Cupride 3 Sr Tablet 10 should be stored as follows:

• It should be stored in a dry place between 10°C to 25°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture.

• Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

• Keep all medicines out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date printed on the package.

• Include regular physical activity in your routine (at least 30 minutes daily), as exercise helps your body use insulin more effectively and lowers blood glucose (sugar) levels.

• Follow a balanced diet rich in fibre and low in refined carbohydrates—choose whole grains, vegetables, and limit sugary foods to help maintain steady blood glucose levels throughout the day.
