Clavix 300 Tablet 4

Clavix-300 Tablet 4 is used in adults to reduce the risk of blood clots after heart procedures, to manage acute coronary syndrome, and to prevent atherothrombotic events in people with heart disease, stroke or peripheral arterial disease.

Uses of Clavix-300 Tablet 4 are:

• Post-procedure Clot Prevention: Helps reduce the risk of blood clots after heart procedures such as coronary stenting.
• Acute Coronary Syndrome: Helps manage acute coronary syndrome, including unstable angina and non-ST elevation heart attack.
• Atherothrombotic Event Prevention: Helps prevent clot-related events in people with a recent heart attack or stroke, or peripheral arterial disease.

Here are some simple steps to follow while taking Clavix-300 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor first.

Clavix-300 Tablet is taken orally.

Clavix-300 Tablet contains clopidogrel (300 mg) which works on the body in the following ways:

• Blocks P2Y12 subtype of ADP receptor: Clopidogrel blocks the P2Y12 subtype of ADP receptor on the surface of platelets. This is important as these receptors play a key role in activating platelets, which are crucial for blood clotting.

• Inhibits platelet aggregation: By blocking the P2Y12 subtype of the ADP receptor, clopidogrel effectively inhibits the process of platelet aggregation or the clumping together of platelets. This action helps maintain smooth blood flow in the blood vessels and reduces the risk of blood clots that can cause heart attacks and strokes.

• Store Clavix-300 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.

• Keep it shielded from excessive light and moisture.

• Ensure the medication is out of reach of children.
