5 Flucel 250 MG Injection contains fluorouracil (250 mg), which works on the body by:

• Antimetabolite action: Fluorouracil acts as an antimetabolite, which means it interferes with the normal metabolic processes within cancer cells.

• Thymidylate synthase inhibition: It specifically blocks an enzyme called thymidylate synthase, which is essential for DNA production in cells.

• DNA synthesis disruption: By preventing the proper formation of DNA, fluorouracil stops cancer cells from creating new genetic material needed for cell division.

• RNA interference: The medicine also disrupts the formation of RNA (ribonucleic acid), further preventing cancer cells from functioning normally.
