Zytax + 20 Injection 0.5ml is used for the following:

• Managing locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer, after previous chemotherapy has failed.

• As a part of combo therapy involving doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide, for operable node-positive breast cancer.

• Controlling locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), after platinum-based therapy failure.

• Working with cisplatin to manage NSCLC in patients who are new to chemotherapy.

• Handling hormone-refractory metastatic prostate cancer, alongside prednisone.

• Combating advanced gastric adenocarcinoma, including adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction, in conjunction with cisplatin and fluorouracil for previously untreated patients.

• Managing locally advanced squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN), in combination with cisplatin and fluorouracil as part of induction therapy.

Administer Zytax + 20 Injection 0.5ml as suggested below:

• This medicine is administered intravenously under the supervision of a doctor.

• The injection must be given as a one-hour infusion every three weeks.

Zytax + 20 Injection 0.5ml contains Docetaxel (20 mg) which works on your body in the following ways:

• Promotes Assembly of Microtubules: Docetaxel encourages the assembly of tubulin into stable microtubules in your body's cells.

• Inhibits Disassembly: At the same time, it inhibits disassembly, maintaining the stability of these microtubules.

• Impairs Cellular Functions: By stabilising microtubules, docetaxel effectively impairs mitotic and interphase cellular functions which are key stages in a cell's life cycle.
