CompositionSymbicort 160/4.5mcg Turbuhaler 60mdi is used for the regular, long-term control of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), helping prevent wheeze, chest tightness and breathlessness. It is not for the immediate relief of a sudden attack.
It contains budesonide, an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces airway inflammation, and formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes and opens the airways.
Use it regularly through the inhaler as prescribed, even when you feel well, and rinse your mouth with water after each use. Always keep a fast-acting reliever inhaler for sudden attacks.
Tell your doctor about any heart problems, high blood pressure or other lung conditions before use. Tell your doctor if your reliever is needed more often or works less well.
