Casthrin Plus 0.1/5 % Lotion 50 ML

Casthrin Plus 0.1%/5% Lotion is used for managing scalp health and scabies. It is a medicated skin and scalp lotion that combines Cetrimide, an antiseptic, with Permethrin, a strong anti-parasitic agent. It is primarily used to manage scabies and head lice by disinfecting the skin, eliminating lice or mites along with their eggs, and helping to relieve itching, redness, and irritation caused by these infestations. 

• Cetrimide (0.1%): Cetrimide is an antiseptic and disinfectant that helps clean and protect the skin from infections. It works by eliminating or managing the growth of bacteria and other microbes on the skin or scalp. Cetrimide also helps remove dirt, oil, and dead skin.
   
• Permethrin (5%): Permethrin is a potent anti-parasitic agent widely used to manage infestations like head lice, scabies, and mites. It works by eliminating lice or mites and their eggs. It is applied to the affected area (hair or skin) to effectively clear the infestation.

• Helps with Scabies: Casthrin Plus Lotion effectively eliminates the mites that cause scabies by destroying them along with their eggs, helping clear the infestation and relieve intense itching and skin irritation.
   
• Reduces the Risk of Head Lice Infestation: The lotion effectively destroys lice and nits on the scalp. Cetrimide cleanses the scalp and manages bacterial infection from scratching. It helps restore scalp hygiene and reduces recurrent lice attacks.
   
• Assists with Body Lice: Permethrin targets lice on the body or pubic area with high efficacy. It stops their movement by eliminating them quickly.
   
• Manages Secondary Skin Infection: Cetrimide acts as a protective antiseptic on irritated or scratched skin. It manages bacteria from entering damaged areas caused by itching. This helps reduce redness, swelling, and the risk of complications.
   
• Relieves Itching and Irritation: By eliminating mites and lice, the lotion reduces the root cause of itching. It calms irritated skin and supports faster healing of affected areas. 

• Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin or scalp as instructed and leave it on for the full prescribed time (usually 8–12 hours for scabies).
• Wash off thoroughly with water and soap after the required time.
• Wash clothes, bedding, and towels in hot water the same day.

• Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
• For external use only.
• Perform a patch test before first use.
• Avoid contact with eyes; rinse immediately if contact occurs.
• Do not freeze.
