ADREVAL 250 MG TABLET ER 10 is used to control seizures in epilepsy, to help stabilise mood in bipolar disorder, and to help prevent migraine attacks. It works by calming overactive electrical signals in the brain.
It contains Divalproex, an anticonvulsant medicine. Take it as prescribed, usually with food, and do not stop it suddenly without medical advice, as this can trigger seizures.
A regular routine with good sleep, a balanced diet and avoiding alcohol support your treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any liver problems before starting, and about other medicines you take. This medicine can seriously harm an unborn baby and must not be used in pregnancy unless there is no alternative and a pregnancy-prevention plan is in place; discuss reliable contraception with your doctor. Report yellowing of the skin or eyes, severe stomach pain, unusual bruising, or new or worsening low mood.
